Bridge 20 is in parts over 200 years old and is an 'accommodation bridge' - built to 'accommodate' the farmers whose land was cut in two by the canal. The canal system of the Uk has literally thousands of these simple, elegant and functional bridges.
I'm a UK based freelance photographer who particularly likes old things, churches, industrial heritage, old machinery . . . and then by contrast like nature and wildlife too. I'm a dedicated tripod geek - my camera very rarely gets used 'off tripod' as many of my shots are taken in low light or require large DOF. Sometimes I shoot an image for use 'as is' - but I also like to get creative so shoot with the intention of combining multiple exposures - another great reason for being on the tripod. Just about the only thing you won't see in my portfolio are people.

Great picture............... In 2008 the other side of this bridge was hit by a tractor and trailer and had to be rebuilt ! See my video of the moment they found the cast iron bridge number. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjk0b0Y5kLM
