Originally steam powered but converted to electricity in 1957 the Great Orme tram is a popular tourist attraction at Llandudno, Wales. Originally opened in 1902 it closed in 1932 after a crash, but re-opened in 1934. Due to the steep climb it is cable hauled and carries around 160,000 passengers a year.
I'm a UK based freelance photographer who particularly likes old things, churches, industrial heritage, old machinery . . . and then by contrast like nature and wildlife too. I'm a dedicated tripod geek - my camera very rarely gets used 'off tripod' as many of my shots are taken in low light or require large DOF. Sometimes I shoot an image for use 'as is' - but I also like to get creative so shoot with the intention of combining multiple exposures - another great reason for being on the tripod. Just about the only thing you won't see in my portfolio are people.
