Some 126ft above the River Dee in Wales the Llangollen canal is carried in a centuries old cast iron trough supported on 18 stone arches. It remains the oldest and longest navigable aqueduct in Great Britain as well as being the highest in the world. In this image two canal boats can be seen crossing it.
I'm a UK based freelance photographer who particularly likes old things, churches, industrial heritage, old machinery . . . and then by contrast like nature and wildlife too. I'm a dedicated tripod geek - my camera very rarely gets used 'off tripod' as many of my shots are taken in low light or require large DOF. Sometimes I shoot an image for use 'as is' - but I also like to get creative so shoot with the intention of combining multiple exposures - another great reason for being on the tripod. Just about the only thing you won't see in my portfolio are people.
