St Michaels Mount is a famous small island in Cornwall that has a castle and several small private houses on it. At low tide it is possible to walk or drive over to the island, but at every high tide you just wait, go by boat or use the amphiboat service.

I'm a UK based freelance photographer who particularly likes old things, churches, industrial heritage, old machinery . . . and then by contrast like nature and wildlife too. I'm a dedicated tripod geek - my camera very rarely gets used 'off tripod' as many of my shots are taken in low light or require large DOF. Sometimes I shoot an image for use 'as is' - but I also like to get creative so shoot with the intention of combining multiple exposures - another great reason for being on the tripod. Just about the only thing you won't see in my portfolio are people.
