Talacre beach is in Flintshire, Wales and overlooks the Irish sea. This lighthouse is properly known as Point of Ayr and was built in 1776 and fell into disuse in 1884. Please note this image has been edited to create a softly coloured and 'distressed' effect.
I'm a UK based freelance photographer who particularly likes old things, churches, industrial heritage, old machinery . . . and then by contrast like nature and wildlife too. I'm a dedicated tripod geek - my camera very rarely gets used 'off tripod' as many of my shots are taken in low light or require large DOF. Sometimes I shoot an image for use 'as is' - but I also like to get creative so shoot with the intention of combining multiple exposures - another great reason for being on the tripod. Just about the only thing you won't see in my portfolio are people.
