This is the original grammar school, dating back as far as 1586 having been founded by Queen Elizabeth the previous year. In a time when most buildings were of timber frame construction this was made of Ashlar and was a prominent building. It is now a series of private residences

I'm a UK based freelance photographer who particularly likes old things, churches, industrial heritage, old machinery . . . and then by contrast like nature and wildlife too. I'm a dedicated tripod geek - my camera very rarely gets used 'off tripod' as many of my shots are taken in low light or require large DOF. Sometimes I shoot an image for use 'as is' - but I also like to get creative so shoot with the intention of combining multiple exposures - another great reason for being on the tripod. Just about the only thing you won't see in my portfolio are people.
