Or to give it its correct name "Hamilton Mausoleum" is regarded as one of the finest private tombs in the UK. Standing some 37 metres it was constructed to be the resting place of the Dukes of Hamilton and their family. Not entirely popular with the common people the mausoleum soon got the name "Hamilton's knob".
I'm a UK based freelance photographer who particularly likes old things, churches, industrial heritage, old machinery . . . and then by contrast like nature and wildlife too. I'm a dedicated tripod geek - my camera very rarely gets used 'off tripod' as many of my shots are taken in low light or require large DOF. Sometimes I shoot an image for use 'as is' - but I also like to get creative so shoot with the intention of combining multiple exposures - another great reason for being on the tripod. Just about the only thing you won't see in my portfolio are people.
