XL565 is a Hawker Hunter was built in 1958 and saw a variety of roles until retirement in 1980 and then undertook assorted non operational uses until 1991. In 2002 it became the property of a private enthusiast and saw extensive restoration that made it possible to ground run it in 2010.
I'm a UK based freelance photographer who particularly likes old things, churches, industrial heritage, old machinery . . . and then by contrast like nature and wildlife too. I'm a dedicated tripod geek - my camera very rarely gets used 'off tripod' as many of my shots are taken in low light or require large DOF. Sometimes I shoot an image for use 'as is' - but I also like to get creative so shoot with the intention of combining multiple exposures - another great reason for being on the tripod. Just about the only thing you won't see in my portfolio are people.
