The old lighthouse opened in 1904 and was finally decommissioned in 1960 as it was replaced by one much closer to the shore. It is now open to visitors and offers an amazing view for many miles. Constructed of engineering bricks around a centre core of a sandstone inner.
I'm a UK based freelance photographer who particularly likes old things, churches, industrial heritage, old machinery . . . and then by contrast like nature and wildlife too. I'm a dedicated tripod geek - my camera very rarely gets used 'off tripod' as many of my shots are taken in low light or require large DOF. Sometimes I shoot an image for use 'as is' - but I also like to get creative so shoot with the intention of combining multiple exposures - another great reason for being on the tripod. Just about the only thing you won't see in my portfolio are people.
